Delicious Vietnamese Fried Tofu bursting with umami fish sauce flavor, served with a side of hot rice. It features crispy tofu coated in a flavorful fish sauce mixture.

What you need

tbsp water

oz firm tofu

cup cooking oil

tbsp fish sauce

bunch green onion
Instructions
1: In a small mixing bowl, add sugar. Add 4 tbsp warm water to help dissolve the sugar. Add 2.5 tbsp fish sauce and combine well. Add your sliced green onions. Set aside. 2: In a large pan, add enough cooking oil to cover the bottom of the pan. Heat over medium-high. Once hot, add your tofu (do not overcrowd) and fry until golden brown on both sides - 4-5 minutes per side. 3: Once golden, remove the tofu from the frying pan and toss directly into the fish sauce mixture. Make sure both sides are coated and plate. Remove the tofu from the fish sauce bowl and plate. Repeat process until all tofu pieces are cooked and coated in the fish sauce. 4: Serve this with a side of hot rice.View original recipe
